Any organisation active within the European Union should consider registering a .eu domain name.
.eu is the official top level domain for the European Union. The process of registering .eu domain names has started, and there will be a gold rush for registration.
The application process is being organised in three stages to give some priority to eligible organisations.

European Union domain name registration is managed by EURid, the official manager for .eu top-level domain names. Full details are available from the EURid website. (opens in a new window). They don’t take registrations directly, and applications should be made through an accredited .eu name registrar.
