Making web sites accessible
Your web site visitors may include people who don’t have perfect eyesight, or who are not using the latest computer with a fast broadband connection. With a little attention to detail, your website can be accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. It will also be faster to load, more reliable and better indexed by search engines.
Guidelines on accessibility have been established by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and adopted as authoritative in European and UK legislation. It is illegal to discriminate against disabled people under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and this has applied to services provided via web sites since October 1999.
All my web site designs comply with the minimum requirements and I can design higher levels of accessibility when appropriate. 
This web site satisfies the second priority level and is entitled to show the WAI Double-A conformance logo.
